Child & Adolescent Counselling
The work of therapy with young people and children is a very different and sometimes more complex dynamic than that present when working with adults. Alternative and more creative means of approach are sometimes necessary to meet and communicate with the young person at their level. Comprehensive information about the format and approaches employed can be found here.
Anger Management
This counselling programme offers clients a flexible but structured approach to find new or alternative ways to cope with anger that may be affecting their health, work, social behaviour or personal relationships. Further details are available here .
Mindfulness
Mindfulness encapsulates the simple yet rare ability to be present within ourselves in the now rather than perpetually replaying our past or inefficaciously projecting ourselves into the future. It can provide you with a life approach that facilitates the growth and nurturing of inner levels resilience and stability. Extended details regarding the benefits available to you through mindfulness can be viewed here.
Employee Assistance Programmes (EAPs)
Professional support and interventions are available for conflict management, bullying, addictions, and relationship difficulties. Moreover additional common personnel problems regularly addressed are depression, anxiety and stress as well as a host of other life issues which have the potential to impact detrimentally upon our emotional, cognitive and physical functionality.
Addiction Counselling Services:
- One to one Addiction Counselling
- After-Care Counselling: This service enhances clients’ chances of recovery beyond their time in residential addiction treatment centres
- Family Support: So often the unseen casualties of another’s addiction are the parents, partners, children or siblings whose lives are engulfed by shadows of shame, guilt, hurt, anger, depression and anxiety. Counselling provides an outlet to work through the turmoil and pain of these issues
- Employee Assistance Programme (EAP): Occasionally on-site counselling can be facilitated to address an employee’s issues but it may be more appropriate for the client to come to meet with me at my location.
Phone & Skype Sessions
Common modern day impediments to accessing much needed therapeutic supports such as transportation, location, mobility and availability have resulted in an ever-increasing number of clients opting to access my counselling and psychotherapy service via the mediums of phone or Skype. Accepting that this may not be the perfect fit for everyone, it is nevertheless a very viable alternative for many people so please feel free to read more about how it works here.
Seeking and accepting support is a strength and not a weakness so please feel free to contact me to take the next step.
