ADHD
What is ADHD?
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a neurodevelopmental condition characterised by difficulties with inattention, impulsivity, and hyperactivity. ADHD is categorised into three presentation subtypes: Predominantly Inattentive, Predominantly Hyperactive-Impulsive, and Combined.
Individuals with ADHD may experience difficulty in paying attention, act without due consideration for the consequences of their behaviours (impulsivity), or struggle to remain still for prolonged durations (hyperactivity). Symptoms or traits are typically present before 12 years of age.
